What are the age requirements and pay rate for bartenders?

Bartenders must be 21 years or older. Starting pay rate for first time Major Goolsby's Festivals bartenders is $7.25.

Do I need to have a bartender's license to be a bartender?

No, but preference will be given to licensed bartenders.

If you currently have a City of Milwaukee Class D Bartender's License and you are hired by Major Goolsby's Festivals, you will be required to supply us a with copy of your license prior to the beginning of the festival. Obtaining or having a bartender's license does not guarantee that you will have a job with Major Goolsby's Festivals.

What is the physical nature of the jobs available?

Both bartenders and haulers need to be able to stand for the majority of their shift. In addition, for haulers, there will be some heavy lifting.

Are there any other key job requirements to be a bartender?

Bartenders must be comfortable with carding all customers who look under 40 years old. Bartenders must have cash register and money handling/counting experience as well. All bartenders are required to attend orientation and will be trained by their area manager.

What jobs are available?

Our needs vary from event to event; sometimes we may only need cooks and window workers, others we may only need bartenders and haulers.

What shifts are available?

Shifts vary according to the event.
